Received degree in Occupational Therapy in 1999 from Quinnipiac University, Hamden Connecticut. Began career as a pediatric occupational therapist in the school system of Greenwich, CT. and completed three school years before relocating to Knoxville, TN. Worked as an OTR/L in the private clinic of Parent-Child Services Group LLC. for approximately 10 years until transitioning into private practice. Became a developmental handwriting specialist with Handwriting Without Tears and continue to be in private practice in an office located at D-1 Hardin Valley.
Additional interests and hobbies include aerial silks performer and instructor. Performed in a variety of circus arts and incorporated some of those skills into working with children emphasizing the importance of finding fun ways to work on skills and overcome challenges. Having experienced sensory and developmental challenges as a child, has provided a better understanding to what kids often face and use positive techniques supporting development to overcome challenges.
