I received my degree in Occupational Therapy in 1999 from Quinnipiac University, Hamden Connecticut. I began my career as a pediatric occupational therapist n the school system of Greenwich, CT. There I completed three school years before relocating to Knoxville, TN. I have worked as an OTR in the private clinic of Parent-Child Services Group LLC. for approximately 10 years. During that time I became a handwriting specialist with Handwriting Without Tears. Currently, I am in a private practice located in the Knoxville Healing Center.
In addition to being an occupational therapist, I am also an aerial silks performer and instructor. I have performed in a variety of circus arts and have incorporated some of those skills into my work with children. I like to emphasize the importance of finding fun ways to work on skills and overcome challenges. Having experienced sensory and developmental challenges as a child, I am able to understand what kids often face and she uses positive techniques supporting development to overcome their challenges.
